The apostles creed is widely used. Calvin uses it in his writings. Structure is Trinitarian. The creed developed over time.

Roman Creed
- It used to be called the symbolim of the apostles.
- It is unlikely that it was written by the apostles. If it was, it would be included in the Bible.
- Roman church today except for the council of Trent assumes it was written by the apostles.
It is representative of what the apostles taught.
Avoid Meaningless and mindless repetition. We must believe from the heart.
