A Biblical Perspective on Excellent Mothers

A biblical perspective on excellent Mothers. None of us are perfect. Don’t let the high calling of motherhood discourage you but rather something to strive for by Gods grace. Let us daily call upon God. Proverbs 31. We all need to know the roles of fatherhood and motherhood now more than ever. We have a generation of young mothers and fathers that are being attacked. Traditional Christian values are seen as bad.

1. An excellent mother cherishes her children as gifts from God. Gen 17:16, heritage means a rich possession (Psalm 127:3), Psalm 128
2. Excellent mothers labor hard. They will not turn out right if you leave them on their own. Titus 2 Admonish – bring someone to their senses. To be of sound mind. To think biblically. Sinful humanity without God does not think properly. The world is going to fill that vacuum with their anti-God message .. Godly mothers labor hard for their family. The culture treats motherhood like it’s not a job.
3. Excellent mothers lead their children by the hand to Jesus Christ. Feed them the milk of the Word. 2 Timothy 1:5 (NKJV) “when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.” – Matthew 19:13 (NKJV) “Then little children were brought to Him that He might put [His] hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them.” – Biblical mothers are concerned for their eternal well being in Christ . 2 Tim 3:15 – and from childhood.
4. Excellent Mothers have a genuine faith. They make sure of their way. They trust Christ alone for their salvation. A mom who loves God and neighbor has an impact on children. She opens her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue is the law of kindness (Prov 31:26)

Titus 2:4 (NKJV) that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭127‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Psalms 128:2-4 (NKJV) 2 When you eat the labor of your hands, You [shall be] happy, and [it shall be] well with you. 3 Your wife [shall be] like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table. 4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the LORD.

“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.””
Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
