Introduction

Man by nature is prone to hate God and neighbor. We fall short in sins of omission what we leave out.

Question: how did this happen and where did it come from? Is this mans fault or God? Many blame God and in doing so excuse their sin.

Orthodox Christianity always has taught man is born a sinner.

Some Christians may blame God –

Ephesians 1:11 (NKJV) In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

Acts 4:27-28 (NKJV) 27 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together 28 “to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.

Isaiah 46:10 (NKJV) Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times [things] that are not [yet] done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’

Romans 9:19 (NKJV) You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?”

Q6 – Explains how God made man and why

1 – Mans original created state

God made us good. Gen 1:31. Disobedience to God is not good.

2 – Man is made in the image of God

He was without sin. Adam was positively good. He could love God and neighbor.

Genesis 1:26 (NKJV) Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Eph 4:24, Col 3:10 – when we become Christian He will restore us.

We are born sinners. We died in Adam.

Romans 5:12 (NKJV) Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned–
