Introduction
God fearing Mothers. Mothers like those in Proverbs 31 are to be praised. A woman who fears the Lord.
Praise worthy Mothers:
1 – focus on their children.
All her work is for her family. Verse 27: “She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.”
Not just Mothers, but older woman:
Titus 2:3-4 (NKJV) 3 the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things– 4 that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
Seek what God values in a Mother. Seek praise from God. Be a godly Church Mother. We can be a covenant surrogate mother. We are commanded to be involved. This can be difficult, especially today where help is not always welcome. Ladies pray for how we can be involved.
2 – Save society and their children
1 Timothy 2:9-10 (NKJV) 9 in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10 but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
1 Timothy 2:11-15 (NKJV) 11 Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12 And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. 15 Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.
Society teaches women to not have children but rather be in positions of authority. Women’s liberation has produce an increase in abuse of women. Young men are being raised to not respect or value women.
Praise worthy mothers save society and save their children.
3 – resemble God in their tender loving care.
Matthew 23:37 (NKJV) “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under [her] wings, but you were not willing!
