The Second Coming

There will be a general resurrection of the just and the unjust. The just who are in Christ to everlasting life, the unjust to eternal death.
1 – That is the hope in the old testament.

Psalm 16:10 (NKJV) For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

Jesus taught the resurrection:

Matthew 22:30-32 (NKJV) 30 “For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven. 31 “But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying, 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

Acts 4:1-2 (NKJV) 1 Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, 2 being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:17-19 (NKJV) 17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith [is] futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.
